Joomla
It is a free and open source content management system (CMS) for publishing
content on the World Wide Web and intranets and a model–view–controller (MVC)
Web application framework that can also be used independently.
Joomla is written in PHP, uses object-oriented programming (OOP) techniques and
software design patterns[citation needed], stores data in a MySQL database, and
includes features such as page caching, RSS feeds, printable versions of pages,
news flashes, blogs, polls, search, and support for language
internationalization.
Drupal
It is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) and content
management framework (CMF) written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General
Public License. It is used as a back-end system for at least 1.5% of all
websites worldwide ranging from personal blogs to corporate, political, and
government sites including whitehouse.gov and data.gov.uk. It is also used for
knowledge management and business collaboration.
The standard release of Drupal, known as Drupal core, contains basic features
common to content management systems. These include user account registration
and maintenance, menu management, RSS-feeds, page layout customization, and
system administration. The Drupal core installation can be used as a brochure
ware website, a single- or multi-user blog, an Internet forum, or a community
website providing for user-generated content.
Drupal runs on any computing platform that supports both a web server capable of
running PHP (including Apache, IIS, lighttpd, and nginx) and a database (such as
MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MongoDB or Microsoft SQL Server) to store
content and settings.
Magento
Magento is the best open source e-commerce platform in the world, which gives
user an exhaustive set of features out of the box. Magento is an open source
eCommerce solution. It comes with a variety of tools, necessarily for building a
successful online shop. Magento offers a lot of built-in capabilities, such as
promo pricing and coupon codes, detailed statistics, and SEO options.
WordPress
It is an open source blogging tool and publishing platform powered by PHP and
MySQL. It is often customized into a content management system (CMS). It has
many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system. WordPress
is used by over 14.7% of Alexa Internet's "top 1 million" websites and as of
August 2011 powers 22% of all new websites. WordPress is currently the most
popular CMS in use on the Internet.
